The Shanti Mantra is an invocation for harmony and blessings upon all of creation. I often end my practice with this sacred chant. This sweet melody came to me as a heartfelt wish for all beings to be happy. After practicing mantra, I feel deeply nourished, and from that place of love and devotion, I offer this as a prayer for the well-being of all.

“I offer my respectful obeisances to my spiritual master, who with the torchlight of knowledge has opened my eyes, which were blinded by the darkness of ignorance.”
The Guru Stotram is a 14-verse excerpt from a sacred text known as the Guru Gita (which comes from a larger scripture called the Skanda Purana). It is attributed to the great Indian Philosopher and saint, Adi Shankaracharya.

I chant this mantra regularly. It was especially helpful when I became very ill in Mexico. I could not keep anything down and I was getting weak. I recite this mantra to keep myself sane. I also learned this mantra would be beneficial mantra to recite for those who are dying.
